6.17.3. V2L troubleshooting guide

Symptom

Possible cause

Action to take

The V2L system cannot be turned on.

The Li-ion battery level is below the preset minimum battery level.*

Reset the minimum battery level.

The vehicle power switch is not in the ON or off position. (V2L outside)*

Turn the power switch in the ON or off position.

The vehicle power switch is not in the ON or READY to drive position. *

Turn the power switch in the ON or READY to drive position.

The temperature inside the vehicle is high. *

Lower the temperature inside the vehicle (i.e. by parking the vehicle in a place out of direct sunlight and ventilating the vehicle).

The appliances connected cannot be used.

The maximum load of the connected appliance(s) exceeds 3000 W or 3700 W in total.

Use appliance(s) within the maximum load.

The connected appliance is running with a large temporary currents.

Use appliance(s) that are not running with a large temporary currents.

The plug shape of the connected appliance is deformed or bent.

Use appliance with a plug that is not deformed or bent.

The connected appliance is damaged.

Use appliance(s) that are not damaged.

For the V2L outside, please observe the following:

  • If power supply stops due to the rated output has been exceeded, set the connected appliances to within the rated output, disconnect the VLC and then reconnect it again and restart the VLC. See

  • If [V2L Power Outlet Switched OFF due to Electrical Fault See Owner’s Manual] warning is displayed, stop the operation and have the vehicle and the VLC checked. It is recommended to visit NISSAN certified electric vehicle dealer for this service.

  • If the charging status indicator light flashes in green but the LED indicator on the VLC has not been illuminated, there may be a malfunction in the VLC. See
