4.4.4. Charging related remote function
This vehicle incorporates a communication device that is called a TCU (Telematics Control Unit). The communication connection between this unit and the NISSAN Data Centre allows for various remote function services.
Remote battery status check:
The charging status of the Li-Ion battery can be checked using the NissanConnect Services app* (where fitted), even if you are not in the vehicle.
Remote start/stop charge:
The function of starting/stopping the Li-ion battery charge is available using your internet enabled smart phone.
Plug-in reminder:
A notification can be sent to your internet enabled smart phone if the plug is not connected at the specific time you selected, after turning off the power switch.
Plug and Charge:
By installing the contract certification in the vehicle and registering a charging plan in the app, charging can be done at many public charging facilities without having to go through the payment procedure each time.
Navigations to the charging facilities will also be provided via the smartphone app or the Map locator system of the vehicle (where fitted).

Establishing the NissanConnect Services is necessary before using this service. See the separately provided NissanConnect Owner's Manual.
To check the Li-ion battery charging status using an internet enabled smartphone, the following conditions must be met:
The vehicle must be located in a smartphone coverage area.
The smartphone must be located in an area with mobile phone coverage.
Some smartphones are not compatible and cannot be used to check the Li-ion battery charging status. Please confirm beforehand.
Certain remote functions require a compatible smartphone that is not supplied with vehicle.
NissanConnect Services features are included through a subscription service which requires owner consent to activate. The subscription must be active to use these features.
*: The NissanConnect Services app will be renamed to MyNISSAN in the future.
