When shifting, confirm that the vehicle is in the desired transmission position. The shift button will illuminate and desired position (P, R, N or D) will be displayed on the vehicle information display to make sure that shifting has been performed properly.

When parking, push the shift button P to engage the P (Park) position. (The vehicle may not automatically apply the P (Park) position.)
