9.28.3. Secondary Collision Mitigation Braking (SCMB)
Never rely solely on the SCMB system. The system is designed to help mitigate the possible damage due to the secondary collision, and is not effective in all situations. It is the driver’s responsibility to stay alert, drive safely, and be in control of the vehicle at all times.
SCMB function will not activate if the Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) system is damaged during the accident.
System will automatically turn off after a set duration, following initiation of function.
Secondary Collision Mitigation Brake (SCMB) function controls the brake automatically in the event of an accident where the air bag system detected a collision. This feature is designed to mitigate the risk of a subsequent collision.
