9.6.3. e-Pedal system temporarily unavailable

If the e-Pedal system is temporarily unavailable, [e-Pedal system unavailable Use brake pedal] warning message appears on the vehicle information display. Stop the vehicle in a safe location. Turn the EV system off and restart the EV system. If the warning message continues to appear have the system checked. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN certified electric vehicle dealer for this service.

  • When the e-Pedal system is turned on, stop the vehicle regularly and take a break when driving on a long downhill road. Using the system continuously may reduce it’s effectiveness.

  • When the e-Pedal system is turned on, turn it off when driving on a long downhill roads and apply regenerative brake with the shift position placed in D (Drive) position in conjunction with the brake pedal. If the e-Pedal system is used continuously, it may become temporarily unavailable and automatically switched off to prevent the brake system from overheating.
