5.5.4. Manual front-passenger air bag deactivation system

The front passenger air bag can be turned off with the front passenger air bag switch (A) located on the trim panel at the side of the dashboard.

(A) Air bag switch

To turn off the front passenger air bag:

  1. Place the power switch in the OFF position.

  2. Open the front passenger door.

  3. Push and turn the front passenger air bag to the OFF position.

  4. Push the power switch to the ON position. The <PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF> image indicator light will illuminate and remain lit.

To turn on the front passenger air bag:

  1. Place the power switch in the OFF position.

  2. Open the front passenger door.

  3. Push and turn the front passenger air bag to the ON position.

  4. Push the power switch to the ON position. The <PASSENGER AIR BAG ON> image indicator light will illuminate and remain lit
