9.17.7.4. Undertake Prevention (where fitted)

Undertake prevention (where fitted) can be used to prevent your vehicle from overtaking another vehicle on the wrong side. In the countries where traffice drives drive on the right hand side of the road, undertake prevention will prevent you from overtaking on the right (undertaking). In the countries where traffic drives drive on the left hand side of the road, undertake prevention will prevent you from overtaking on the left (undertaking).

This function is active when the travelling speed is above 80 km/h (50 MPH). When the travelling speed is significantly higher than the speed in the adjacent lane, the vehicle may overtake the vehicle in the adjacent lane.

A green marker will be displayed in the vehicle information display bellow the vehicle that you are attempting to undertake.

Setting Undertake Prevention in the Vehicle Information Display:

  1. Push the image image button until [Settings] appears in the vehicle information display and press the scroll dial.

  2. Use the scroll dial to select [Driver Assistance]. Then push the scroll dial.

  3. Select [Intelligent Cruise Control] and push the scroll dial.

  4. Select [Undertake Prevention] and push the scroll dial to turn the Undertake Prevention system on or off.

When enabling/disabling the Undertake Prevention system in the vehicle information display, the system retains the current settings even if the EV system is restarted.
