7.11.2.4. Reverse tilt-down feature (where fitted)
When reversing the vehicle, the right or left outside mirror will turn downward automatically to provide better rear visibility.
Place the power switch in the ON position.
Shift the transmission to the R (Reverse) position.
Choose the right or left outside mirror by operating the outside mirror control switch.
The selected outside mirror surface moves downward.
For setting the position of the outside mirror surface, perform the following steps.
Choose the right or left outside mirror by operating the outside mirror control switch.
Shift the transmission to the R (Reverse) position.
Adjust the outside mirror surface to the desired position. (See
.)Shift the transmission to the P (Park) or D (Drive) position.
The adjusted mirror position will be set.
When one of the following conditions has occurred, the outside mirror surface will return to its original position.
The vehicle speed exceeds 8 km/h (5 MPH).
The power switch is placed in the OFF position.
The EV system is stopped.
