9.22.1. Driver Monitoring system operation

The Driver Monitoring system uses a camera to determine if the driver is monitoring the road ahead.

  • The Driver Monitoring indicator (yellow) (A) will blink, a beep will sound and a message will appear in the vehicle information display when the vehicle is driven at speeds above 20 km/h (12.5 MPH).

  • The messages provided are as follows:

    1. [Distraction][Look Ahead]

    2. [Drowsiness][Take a break]

    3. [Sleep][Take a break]

  • The warning disappears when the driver turns back to the traffic situation.

  • To disable the warning, push the scroll dial on the steering wheel.
